- Format
- Workshop
- Length
- Half day (3–4 hours)
- Ages
- S1–S6
- Group size
- 10–20 students
What students do
- Complete a basic take-off, circuit and landing
- Read the main flight instruments
- Explain lift, drag, thrust and weight
- Fly a planned route under supervision
Tools
- Flight simulator
- Yoke and pedals
- Sectional charts
- Checklists
Students learn the same sequence a pilot does: pre-flight checks, taxi, take-off, circuit, approach and landing. Every session is debriefed against the instruments.
The simulator makes the physics visible. Change the weight, the flap setting or the bank angle, and the aircraft responds immediately.
This programme can be adapted for different ages, session lengths and group sizes. Ask for a proposal with a session-by-session outline.

How it runs
Brief
We agree the cohort, timetable and what a finished project looks like.
Build
Students work in teams on a real brief, with a taught input at the start of each session.
Test
Teams measure against constraints and document what failed and why.
Show
A working demo, a short presentation and a record of each student’s contribution.
