- Short course
- Length
- 8 sessions × 90 min
- Ages
- S2–S6

What students do
- Model a part in parametric CAD
- Design for 3D printing
- Tolerate, test and iterate a fit
- Document a design revision
Tools
- Onshape
- Fusion 360
- 3D printers
- Calipers
Students model a part for a physical object, print it, measure it, and revise it. The first version is expected to be wrong.
The course teaches parametric thinking: dimensions, constraints and design intent, not just pushing shapes around.
This programme can be adapted for different ages, session lengths and group sizes. Ask for a proposal with a session-by-session outline.

How it runs
Brief
We agree the cohort, timetable and what a finished project looks like.
Build
Students work in teams on a real brief, with a taught input at the start of each session.
Test
Teams measure against constraints and document what failed and why.
Show
A working demo, a short presentation and a record of each student’s contribution.
